Scientist, Software Engineer - Cloud to join our team.
This position will be based at our Salt Lake City-UT facility.
We are seeking an experienced Sr.
Scientist, Software Engineer with a strong background in AWS Cloud, Software Engineering, Networking, Project Management, and DevSecOps.
The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of software development life cycle, cloud-based computing, and secure coding practices.
As a Sr.
Scientist, Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software applications in the AWS Cloud environment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Systems Engineers, and other Software Engineers, to ensure that our software products meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Key
Responsibilities:
Design and develop software applications using AWS Cloud technologies and best practicesImplement DevSecOps practices to ensure the security and compliance of our software productsWork closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other Software Engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsLead technical projects from concept to delivery, including defining project scope, creating project plans, and managing project risks and issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of software productsDevelop and maintain technical documentation and procedures related to software developmentMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support to the teamStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering, cloud computing, and DevSecOpsRequired
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering and development, with at least 4 years of experience in AWS Cloud technologiesAt least 10 years of experience with software development life cycle and project management methodologiesAt least 10 years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API GatewayMinimum of 10 years of experience developing software applications with an object-oriented programming languageAt least 7 years of experience with DevSecOps practices, including containerization, automation, and security testing Preferred
